Question and Answers
Looking for a restaurant recommendation near AT&T Park. Casual, not too expensive. Non-Giants game event. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of good SOMA options depending upon how far from the park you want to be. For burgers and chicken I would suggest you try Marlowe. The also have brussel sprout chips, oysters, etc, but are known for their burgers. Some of the best burgers in the city.

For a little French food you might try South Park Cafe. It's tucked away in South Park right near the Chef and Butler (which is excellent by the way if you're planning brunch instead of dinner). South Park is a pretty cool little park with niche stores and a couple restaurants tucked in on one side.
Bacar is also a favorite of ours but I wouldn't say that it's that casual. It's also a bit more pricey. That said they boast an amazing wine list and it's a very open two story contemporary setting. South Park Cafe is quaint, while Bacar is not. Depending upon the size of your group this might be a good option.
Amici's Pizza. It's across the street from the ball park, toward the train station.
Great pizza, but also salads, pasta dishes, wine or beer. Reasonable. They
have about 10 or 12 Amici's in the Bay Area.
Amici's East Coast Pizza is a good bet. The pizza isn't really east coast (I know because I am) but it's about the best around. The menu is more than pizza. It's a very popular place. It's right across the street from AT&T Park.
